“ just don’t drink too much, trust me we’ve been there too. “ she advised with a grunt. She let Skye go for now, but honestly, she felt sorry for the poor owl. She’s been through enough and now this.

She took a deep breath and sighed, thinking the other Tari had stopped struggling for now and she let her hand off of her head.

“ Damn if you’ve really fucked things up this time you pest. They’ve been through too much! And you had to go and just dream of the damn sigil didn’t you?! This is all your fault!“ She hissed.

She could tell the Other Tari was hurting from the words, the Other Tari was able to tell what was going on even though she wasn’t in control. It...it was weird. But the Other Tari felt horrible for Skye and she was sorry.

“ Oh don’t pout! You know it’s true you invasive pest. “ Tari hissed.

Skye breathed a sigh and tried to latch onto the connection Tari's arm had with her server.

Skye warped into Tari's arm and immediately began to investigate.

"TARI!" she shouted, trying to locate her. "So this is the Project Blue interface... gorgeous... just like her..."

Tari was laying on her stomach in the middle of the floor, all sprawled out, the interface around her was a blue shade of color with cybernetic wires.

But Tari herself, was damn near consumed with red pixels, half of her body was covered in it. Her flesh and blood arm remained visible as well as the rest of her though.

Skye took in a sharp gasp at the sight of her, then skidded to a halt on the ground beside her.

"Bluejay-- Tari, it's me--" she choked out, taking Tari into her arms. "Come on, love; speak to me--!"

She glanced around and tried probing the interface just a little-- she wanted to run a diagnostic check on things and locate the problem area.

Tari was limp in Skye’s arms, her head was hung back as her hair looked like a tiny waterfall of sorts. Her eye brows were furrowed and her jaw lolled open slightly.

The problem area was just a bit ways away off in the back. It was completely corrupted and covered in red pixels. This was the only part that was free from the Virus.

Skye took a deep breath, then kissed Tari's forehead. She carried Tari away from the spread of the virus, set her down gently, then bolted off towards the nexus of the infection.

Sheridan, on the outside of the simulation, hopped a pace away from the two of them and tried to judge what Skye was doing based on the flickering of her eyes.

Tari was limp once she sat down. The glitching Virus slowly spread further on to her form, inching closer and closer to her face.

As if sensing Skye’s presence, the Virus aimed a tentacle like strike from the point it was at, it then molded into a sharp end point.

“ You’ll never win, she’s gonna die, and we’ll remain using her Carcass as a puppet! AHAHAAA! YOUR PRECIOUS PROJECT BLUE IS DESTROYED DOCTOR. All from your attempts to try and get her to come to you in the first place years ago! Oh how ironic!!” She laughed and eventually bursted into psychotic laughter.

"Ohh, that's not good," Skye muttered, waving her hand and generating an orange shield around her forearm.

She picked up speed and readied an antivirus function. She had to probe it before she could neutralise it-- so she had to start small.

"You underestimate her," he chuckled. "Like I said. She's much like you... she learns... she adapts. She's smart... and she knows how to get smarter."

Skye's body remained frozen solid.

Sheridan tried not to worry about the whole business too much. Skye had never been in digital space before. Not to mention the fact he'd done zero tests to make sure she could physically handle the jump.

He just had to hope she'd survive.

The Virus’s tentacle shattered on impact. It got fed up. As Skye was running an antivirus function.

A pool of red pixels morphed 20 feet away from Skye. It morphed into Tari, but it was red pixelated and had vibrant red eyes. The Virus’s avatar so to speak. It learnt from Tari, so it was reasonable that it would take her shape.

Virus!Tari charged morphed two dagger like objects from her wrists, they were long and curved, narrowing her eyes at Skye, she made a mad dash with her arms out behind her to gain more momentum. Naruto running if you will.

Tari huffed. Looking to be intrigued.

“ hmm, no wonder why we took a liking to her. Hmmph….fine. We’ll just wait and see then “ she huffed.

She waved her hand and spread the firewall shield over her body so that it fit like a suit of armour. She tried her best to form a weapon but it wound up looking more like an awkwardly-shaped staff.

"Goddamn problem geometry!" she spat, shaking it and smacking it against the floor. "What's so hard about generating a straight line--?"

She glanced over her shoulder at her advancing opponent with wide green eyes.

A greenish GUI clouded her vision and cut the world down into its bare essentials-- analysing the angle and speed of the virus' avatar.

Virus!Tari spotted Skye’s current advancements. Her eyes narrowed even more as she glared at her. She lowered her hands and the pixelated daggers scrapped across the floor, creating sparks and making a metallic ‘ ssssshhhhnnck! ‘ noise.

In a flash she leapt high in the air, at least a good 30 feet, her arms were wide open like a scare crows, a distorted ‘ wrrrrrr ‘ sound was heard before she took a nose dive and spun around in a blurry tornado.

And as soon as she was close enough she aimed a slash with her right hand.

Skye rolled out of the path of its trajectory, then smacked her "weapon" on the ground again.

"Come on-- materialise, dammit!" she hissed.

The misshapen staff morphed into a large automatic rifle, loaded with ammunition. Skye struggled with it at first.

"Okay, the gun's badass and all, but I'm gonna die if you don't actually teach me how to use this thing--" she muttered.

She raised the weapon at the avatar-- the AI did the rest.

Aimbot engaged.

Virus!Tari landed on her feet, hunched over, only to bend alllllll the way backwards and look directly at Skye. Her head twitching and jerking here and there as she did.

Keeping her head in place, her body turned around the right direction, distorted sounds of digital noises were heard, now fully facing Skye.

Her head twitched, brandished her daggers, then charged at Skye. A animatronic sounding ‘ wrrrrr! ‘ sounded as she did.

Virus!Tari got hit multiple times it caused her to stop charging and hold her right arm. Red electricity sprouted from her bullet wounds.

She hunched over and let out a distorted pain filled roar.

The stress of the warp was beginning to get to Skye.

On the outside of the simulation, her skin began to gleam with pale bluish-green lines.

Sheridan tried not to panic.

Skye gritted her teeth and regained her footing, glancing at the glitching mass nearby.

I gotta write an antivirus.

Somehow.

She tried to ask the AI for advice, but it wasn't designed for that sort of thing.

Sure it could exploit glitches-- but it wasn't designed for that.

Virus!Tari hunched over again and tried to regain health. She hugged her stomach as the many bullet wounds had red electricity sprouting from them. Her breathing labored.

Though, in the middle of the server, where the Virus wasn’t touched. Tari herself was once again slowly being consumed by the virus. Half of her flesh arm was now corrupted by it, as well as her chest.

Tari in the real world took notice of the cybernetic vines in Skye and chuckled darkly. She sneered.

“ Tick tock, Tick Tock~” she taunted. Her voice completely unhinged.

"Goddammit," Skye breathed, trying to keep her thoughts organised.

It felt like the world around her was on fire-- like she was standing in front of a collapsing nuclear reactor. The "radiation poisoning" of the virus was beginning to mess with her, too.

"Here goes nothing, I guess."

She set the gun to the side, and began to type furiously, repurposing the virus' code and turning it against itself.

The lines continued to spread, cutting deeper into Skye's skin.

Virus!Tari was thankfully still trying to regain her health, but once she took notice of exactly what Skye was doing. Her anger boiled.

The Virus twitched and jerked her head and let out a rather, haunting and blood curdling whistle. It seemed to echo against the severs walls.

She hunched over and let her daggers scrape against the ground. It creating sparks as she did as she inched closer. Her bullet wounds still leaking ‘ poison ‘ so to speak.

Skye's eyes widened, the AI alerting her to the threat.

Evade.

She glanced over her shoulder and typed faster.
